What is Archnet?
Archnet is a design studio technology services group within the College of Architecture and Urban Planning (CAUP). Archnet provides technology and
design studio computing resources, providing support for Windows XP Pro and Mac OS X design studio workstations, personal computers, design
applications, laserjet printers and plotters, and student software for use while connected to the Archnet network domain.
Who runs Archnet?
Archnet systems and staff are led by Sinchai DeLong, Manager of Studio Computing Services. He is assisted by a group of student consultants who
run the Archnet Help Desk, and provide daily production support to students for all services offered and supported by
Archnet.
Where is Archnet located?
We are located in Architecture Hall, Room G51. This is where the help desk, our office, plotters and printers are located.
What computing resources are available in Architecture Hall studios?
Each studio contains at least two computers: one Macintosh and one PC. At least one scanner is also available in each studio. Wireless and hard-wired ethernet connections
are also available for individual personal users.

File Storage Policies
Files stored directly on Architecture Hall computers can be deleted at any time. Architecture Hall computers are only for temporary storage of files that are backed up in another location. This location may be a Zip disk, a CD, or on a server, such as your Dante account.
For temporary storage you may store a copy of your file on a PC's C:\StudentFiles harddrive.
